Over a period of 7 days from 17 February - 23 February 2012, 94% of Travelodges had cheaper daily rates compared to Premier Inn.

We check room prices at over 1,200 hotels covering a range of nationwide UK hotel chains: Travelodge, Premier Inn, Best Western, Novotel, Ramada, Thistle, Holiday Inn Express, Ibis and Holiday Inn.
We deploy software to conduct the daily price check, collating daily data for 325 Travelodges and comparable Premier Inn hotels. Comparable hotels are identified on the basis of geographical proximity, ensuring like for like matches as far as possible. Only comparative hotels are used in the price comparison, over a period of 28 nights starting from the date of the price audit.
Prices gathered are the lowest rates available to book on each brand’s website, for one night stays only. For any brand, if the lowest rate identified is ‘zero’ (meaning the hotel is either full or has a length of stay restriction), the record is discounted as ‘zero’ produces an inaccurate comparison.
Travelodge rates are per room, not per person. Competitor rates may have minimum occupancy per room restrictions. Prices collated across all brands may include promotional rates, which may have additional terms and conditions.
